The author’s cherished memories and unique understanding of tarot promise the originality of this Rider-Waite deck. Each drawing can be seen as a mental snapshot of hers, in which a story is told to remind you of your own. Inspired by Japanese illustrations, the deck sees the combined use of delicate brushwork, pastel coloring, spiritual allegories, and symbolic forms. The careful delineation of details gives the dreamlike artworks narrative depth.

Chun Wei Huan graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, China. A whimsical Gemini, she is active in easel art, curating, folk and ethnic minority arts, and computer graphics for gaming. Six years ago, Huan became obsessed with mythology- and occult-inspired art forms, prompting her to go on an expedition to Dunhuang, China and partake in a contemporary art exhibition themed on Hmong mythology. The origins of Huan’s artworks can mostly be found in mythical folklore or her own fantasies.
